Hello,

I come from Holland so I have to write this in English: I'm going to visit Denmark in april this year and will stay in Grønninghoved (near Kolding). I am planning to do a lot of trout fishing, but since I do not know the city or region, I hope someone can tell me where I can find some good fishing spots for trout fishing in that area?

I am coming in April. I would rather fish in salty waters near the coast. But if river inlets are close, that is fine also.

Hello,

You can also fish in the bay at Grønninghoved and almost anywhere at the Danish coast. Especially in april which is one of the best months for sea trout from the coast.

Waders is a must when fisning from the coast at Grønninghoved and many other places in Denmark.

But remember that near almost all rivers and small streams there is a zone where fishing is not allowed. You can see these zones here:

Thanks for the feedback. I have waders and will surely use them. After checking the fishing map for prohibited zones i have a question: what does "Særligt fredningsbælte" mean?

"Særfredning" og "særligt fredningsbælte" means a no fishing-zone which is different from other normal no fishing-zones and it has something to do with the legislation behind it ("bekendtgørelse" = rules with connection the danish law about fishing).

If you look at the map, you can see:

Light purple zones with black frame: no fishing all year long ("hele året" or "helårligt").

Light blue zones with black frame: no fishing in the period you can see.

Light green zones with red frame: no fishing all year long ("helårligt") or in the period you can see. You can see, that these zones can be larger than the normal 2 x 500 meters away from where a river/stream runs out in the sea. It can be because there are more than two rivers or by other reasons.

I hope it gives a Little meaning

Hi everyone,

Wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for helping me out. Special thanks goes to Niels Ole Kljaer who was kind enough to be my fishing guide for a day.

I think i went fishing 8 times and was able to land 1 sea trout. Some other fish took the lure but i was unable to hook them.

I'll be back for more fishing next year.
